The wind is up! And it’s time for the third annual Bagillt Kite Festival, this Sunday 24 July, 10.30am – 3.30pm. The meeting point is from the car park at Bettisfield.
Coastal Ranger, Alistair Hemphill said: “This is the third time we’ve held a Bagillt Kite Festival – the previous two were very successful events so we have high hopes for this one! You can bring your own kite, buy a kite or make one. Flintshire’s Countryside Team will be there to help you, and will have a variety of kites you can buy to fly – let’s see just how many kites can we get flying at one time!
“There will be other activities during the day too, like making badges. You could bring a picnic and make a day of it, exploring this rejuvenated site, which offers coastal walks with spectacular views over the River Dee, or watch the local fishermen getting ready for their next trip to catch local fish.”
