Police searched a total of 39 addresses across Wrexham and Flintshire last week as part of the No Place to Hide initiative cracking down on drug dealers, burglars, people wanted by the courts and motoring offences.
The targeted raids recovered drugs, stolen property, offensive weapons and cash and a number of arrests were made.
The Automatic Number Plate Recognition system checked more than 2000 vehicles and over 60 were stopped. Motoring offences included dangerous leaking fuel tanks on lorries and uninsured cars.
Anti Social Behaviour patrols stopped juveniles, seized alcohol and took details which will be followed up. Superintendent Neill Anderson said : “While Wrexham and Flintshire are amongst the safest places to live and work the message we want to get across is that if people are intent on engaging in drug crime , burglary, dealing in stolen goods, driving unfit vehicles or driving without insurance, there will be no place to hide in this area.
“Last week’s activity came about due to the public and local police working together to focus on priorities that our communities tell us about.”
