Artwork by a Tywyn school pupil will be front and centre for the next issue of Gwynedd Council’s public transport timetable.
Pupils from the Tywyn area of the county entered a competition for their picture to be used for the front cover of the summer edition of Gwynedd Council’s public transport timetable. Erin Roberts, a Year 4 pupil at Ysgol Penybryn, Tywyn came out on top.
Councillor Gareth Roberts, Senior Portfolio Leader for the Environment on Gwynedd Council said:
“Many congratulations to Erin and to all the children who took part in the competition – the level of entries was very high. We are delighted that Erin’s picture will feature on the summer edition of the timetable, and we hope that it will encourage more people to make use of the variety of public transport opportunities available throughout the county.”
Erin receives a book token worth £20, with Ysgol Penybryn, Tywyn also receiving a token worth £50.
The summer edition of the timetable, effective from 17 April, will be circulated widely during the coming weeks. For more information about public transport in Gwynedd, visit: www.gwynedd.gov.uk/publictransport
