Swansea residents need not boldly go where no man has gone before to catch sight of the latest hit Star Trek DVD.
Swansea Libraries have 12 copies of the hottest DVD out at the moment and it is on loan at the Swansea Central, Gorseinon and Oystermouth libraries.
In celebration of the release of this Star Trek prequel Swansea Libraries, in conjunction with Library Multimedia, is also running two competitions with prizes including copies of the DVD.
The first is a Star Trek quiz with six questions for customers to answer.
The second promotion is aimed at younger customers and asks them to draw and colour in a Star Trek character.
This can be one of the main characters in action such as Spock giving a Vulcan greeting or Scottie trying to get warp factor six out of the overheated engines. It could also be a made-up creature that Star Trek characters could meet on a far flung planet.
The first prize is a portable DVD player and a copy of the Star Trek movie on DVD. Second prize is two cinema tickets and a copy of Star Trek on DVD while third prize is a copy of Star Trek on DVD alone.
The competitions will run between November 16 and December 12 and entry forms can be picked up at any Swansea Library.
