In line with the Council’s proposed network management policy and following arrangements developed in previous years, there will be an embargo on all planned roadwork’s in the Wrexham town centre up until the end of the Christmas and New Year holiday period. This is to ensure the road network performs at maximum capacity and limits any unnecessary disruption to road users during this busy period.
In addition, temporary traffic management arrangements will be in place to help ease congestion around the Plas Coch retail park from Saturday 19th December. The signage to all the town centre car parks has been reviewed to ensure motorists are guided to all the available spaces across the town centre in the most direct and quickest way possible.
Councillor David Bithell Lead Member Environment and Transport said these arrangements have been put into place to ensure that people can park as close to the town centre as possible. The temporary traffic arrangements are designed to ease congestion at Plas Coch Roundabout and avoid the build up of traffic leaving the retail park, which is normally very busy during the Christmas Period.
