An event has been organised at Glasdir, Llanrwst on Thursday 24th March at 7pm to offer advice to community groups considering taking over operating public toilet facilities.
The speakers will include staff from Conwy County Borough Council’s Environment Service who will give information on transfer obligations and the availability of possible funding; representatives from two community groups who are successfully operating the public toilets in their community, Conwy Voluntary Services Council who can assist with the setting up of a community group or help an existing group, together with information on Council Tax and the Welsh Assembly Government Community Toilet Scheme.
The meeting is open to any anyone with an interest in operating public convenience facilities in their community and wishes to receive information and assistance to be better placed to make a decision.
