Everyone in S4C extends their deepest sympathy to the family of actor Huw Ceredig who died today (Tuesday 16 August).
Huw was best known for playing the character Reg Harries on the long-running drama series Pobol y Cwm, a role he played for almost 30 years.
His voice was familiar to generations of younger viewers through his voiceover work on series such as SuperTed and more recently Meees.
He won acclaim beyond the small screen for his role in the film Twin Town.
Paying tribute to the actor, S4C Authority Chairman Huw Jones said, “From the very beginning, Huw Ceredig was one of S4C’s most familiar and popular faces. He was a talented actor and a warm and colourful character. He was an enthusiastic ambassador for the Welsh language throughout Wales and he will be sorely missed.”
