Barmouth RNLI Inshore Lifeboat launched yesterday evening, Friday 5th August in response to a call from the Coastguard. A report had been received of two people cut off by the tide near the perch on Ynys y Brawd.
The ILB launched at 6.46 pm, but on arrival at the scene, failed to locate the two people. The ILB was beached and two of the crew, Paul Taylor and Anthony Schorah, began a search of the beach and dunes when a member of the public reported that the men had been seen making their way back to their car and had driven off. The ILB returned to the station.
