Piping bags and icing sugar at the ready…Ty Coffee are set to bring an exciting new dimension to the annual Caerphilly Food Festival on Saturday 10th May with ‘The Great Caerphilly Cake Off’ tent.
Oakdale-based coffee shop Ty Coffee have teamed up with organisers Caerphilly County Borough Council to host a variety of cake related activities, with residents and visitors alike being offered the opportunity to grab a slice of the action.
The proof will be in the pudding as talented cake makers are ready to entertain audiences with their decorating and design skills as they battle it out in the Caerphilly county borough-themed cake competition. Will the competitors seek inspiration from the iconic castle or perhaps have something different rolled up their sleeves?
Adults and children will have the chance to try their hand at some cake piping and learn how to create the perfect icing swirl under the direction of the Ty Coffee helpers who will be on hand to assist with practicing the technique.
The ‘Great Caerphilly Cake Off’ tent will also be serving up traditional British cream teas and cakes for visitors to enjoy and there will be plenty of seating available for families to relax with their treats.
