Unique evening at Theatr Gwaun

Australian visionary songstress Wendy Rule and poet Dominic Berry will share the stage in a unique joint performance at Theatr Gwaun, Fishguard, on Saturday, November 6th.

Drawing on her deep love of nature and lifelong fascination with the worlds of fairy tale and magic, Wendy’s songs combine irresistible melodies with rich aural textures and a rare personal honesty.

With the recent release in May of her latest full length studio album, Guided by Venus, Wendy has established herself as one of Australia’s most prolific artists.

Fiercely independent, she is renowned for her live performances and her richly atmospheric and emotive songs.

Dominic Berry, who grew up in Strumble Head and has lived in Manchester for several years, will be performing a special complimentary poetry set in support of Wendy’s performance.

A former pupil of Fishguard High School, Dominic is now a professional performance poet and creative workshop leader, and his first poetry collection, ‘Tomorrow, I Will Go Dancing’, has been published by Flapjack press.

With his own special brand of poetry and humour, he currently co-hosts ‘Freed Up’, Manchester’s busiest poetry open mic night, and is working on his second collection of verse.

The performance starts at 7.30 pm and tickets cost £6 / £4 concessions. To reserve tickets, please ring the Theatr Gwaun Box Office on 01348 873421.
