The 129th Varsity Match at Twickenham Stadium on Thursday will feature former Christ College, Brecon and Cardiff University lock Tom Evans.
The 27-year-old medical student, who is studying for an MSc in diagnostic imaging, will be winning his first Blue.
Meanwhile, another Cardiff-born player, Lewis Roberts will be captaining the Oxford University Under 21 side in their annual battle against the Light Blues earlier in the day. The 20-year-old former Ysgol Glantaf pupil will be hoping to add another victory to the one he secured in the 2008 game at the same level. He will be leading the side from outside half.
A product of the St Peter’s club, he is studying medicine.
