During the course of the incident in Cae Hir, Flint, this morning a child sustained serious injuries. He is currently in Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
A 27-year-old man remains in custody.
House to house enquiries are being conducted in the area, and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Cae Hir area between 12.30am and 1.30am today (Sunday 11 July).
