A further arrest has been made following an incident in Market Square, Brynmawr at approximately 1am yesterday morning, Monday 16th June, which left three police officers injured.
The officers were called to a report of an attempted robbery at the location, and whilst making an arrest, people unconnected to the robbery became involved and the incident escalated to one of disorder.
The three officers, two females and one male, were taken to Nevill Hall Hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Four people, two men aged 28 and 23 and two women aged 23 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and violent disorder and remain in police custody at this time.
The man arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
