The injured cyclist has been identified and is from the Cardiff area. He is in a serious condition in the University Hospital Wales. Police are in the process of informing his next of kin.
South Wales Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the accident, which occurred on St Augustines Road, Penarth on Wednesday 16th July at 5.37pm, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1400256228.
