The victim in this case, David Turley remains in a critical condition and is being treated at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor. The family are being supported by specially trained officers from North Wales Police.
The scene is still being forensically examined by crime scene investigators and officers are conducting house-to-house enquiries.
NWP can confirm that 3 persons have been arrested in connection with this incident and 2 males remain in custody. They both appeared before Llandudno Magistrates this morning where a warrant of further detention was granted for a period of 36 hours.
Detectives will continue to question the suspects through this period of time and make inquiries in the village of Penmaenmawr.
