Detectives investigating a robbery at a jewellers in Mold yesterday (Tuesday, September 28) are continuing to appeal to the public for information.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of Wrexham Road between 3pm and 4pm yesterday to get in touch with police at the CID office in Mold.
Detective Inspector Alun Oldfield, who is heading the investigation said: “The robbery happened at a very busy time of the day when many parents would have been out picking up their children from school. There is a good chance that people may have seen the offenders in the vicinity of Wrexham Road or making their way from Sheila Williams Jewellers Shop towards the Co-Operative shop following the robbery.”
He added: “The two offenders are described as being in their 20’s; both had covered their faces during the raid, one with a red scarf. They were both also described as wearing dark coats with baseball caps and hoods. One was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms.”
The staff in the jewellers were left shocked by the incident but did not sustain serious injuries.
Inquiries are still underway and crime scene investigators attended the scene yesterday. Work is still on going to establish what goods were stolen from the shop.
