The Exhibition Hall at the Vale of Glamorgan National Eisteddfod will be bigger than ever, as craftspeople of all sorts flock to Llandow for the festival, held from 4-11 August.
The Exhibition Hall is home to craftspeople, artists, jewellery makers and much more on the Eisteddfod Maes, and over the years, this space has become increasingly popular with stallholders and visitors alike. This year’s Hall has been expanded to respond to the call for exhibition space, with forty four units this year.
For the first time this year, organisers have created a map of the Hall, to help visitors to find their favourite businesses in the bustle of the Hall. Elfed Roberts, Eisteddfod Chief Executive, says, “The response to the Exhibition Hall has been particularly good this year, and we’ve had to extend the building twice during the planning period to accommodate everyone.
“The popularity of the Hall is a sign of the Eisteddfod’s success in providing a great shop window for artists and craftspeople in Wales, and this is an important part of our vision to supports the arts across the country and at all levels.
“I very much hope the Hall will be a success again this year, and I’m sure the new map will benefit our visitors as they look for quality products from Wales.
“With the Eisteddfod opening its gates in days, we would like to thank all stallholders in the Exhibition Hall and across the Maes for their continuing support, and wish them well, hoping they’ll have a successful week at the Eisteddfod next week. Diolch yn fawr.”
