Pembrokeshire County Council is hopeful of re-opening the public toilets at Manorbier beach car park by the weekend.
The toilets have been closed since they were vandalised last weekend (24th/25th April).
In the gents, a cistern was ripped from its mounting, door locks were smashed and the urinals stuffed with paper.
The damage meant that the ladies and disabled sections of the toilet were also closed as the water supply to the whole facility had to be turned off.
The County Councillor for Manorbier, Councillor Malcolm Calver, who inspected the damage, said he was appalled by the vandalism.
“Council workmen have been working hard to repair the mess in order to re-open the toilets in time for this forthcoming May Bank holiday weekend” he added.
Police are investigating.
