The National Botanic Garden will be in a Viennese whirl on Saturday June 18 when Symphonica Tywi play their annual midsummer concert.
The Great Glasshouse will be transformed into late 19th century Vienna for one night only and will ring to the sounds of waltzes and polkas.
The 40-piece symphony orchestra will play from about 7.30pm until dusk.
Conductor Mike Cottam has put together another mouth-watering programme of music for the annual concert.
He said: “Though the melodies of Strauss are so very familiar, the huge popularity of occasions such as the New Year’s Day concert in Vienna demonstrate that nothing compares to hearing them played live by an orchestra – it is very hard to sit still to the compelling waltz and polka rhythms!”
Mr Cottam added: “There are few better ways to spend a warm, west Wales summer’s evening than in the company of these marvellous musicians in such a stunning setting. It’s going to be another wonderful evening.”
Tickets for the midsummer concert are on sale now and cost £8.50 and are available by calling 01558 667149.
