A New Year health roadshow to raise awareness about chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, breathing disorders and stroke is touring Neath Port Talbot.
Health Challenge Neath Port Talbot‘s Your Body, One Life, Your Choice campaign aims to give practical information on how to reduce the risk of developing chronic conditions by eating a healthy balanced diet, not smoking and participating in regular physical activity.
Local Public Health Consultant Annie Delahunty said, “This is a great opportunity for partners to get together and share expert advice and information to members of the public.”
She added, “Visitors can get a free lifestyle assessment from a qualified nurse including blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol testing.”
Roadshow dates are:
Monday 18th January – Port Talbot Civic Centre, 10am-4pm
Tuesday 19th January – Angel Square, Neath 10am-4pm
Wednesday 20th January – Neath Port Talbot Hospital 10am-4pm
Thursday 21st January – Tesco, Pontardawe 10am- 4pm
Friday 22nd January – Morrisons, Port Talbot 10am-4pm
