Ten people were arrested in Cardiff today at the Wales v England Euro 2012 qualifier.
Seven of the 10 arrests, which were all outside the stadium, were for ticket touting, two were for public order and one for assault.
At around 2.30pm around 150 fans were contained in Central Square, Cardiff, as a result of disorderly behaviour en route from licensed premises to the Millennium Stadium.
Match Commander Chief Superintendent Alun Thomas from South Wales Police said: “This containment was necessary to prevent further disorder and maximise public safety. The group then left the city at our request.
“70,000 well-behaved football supporters did not deserve to have their day ruined, or their personal safety compromised, by this small minority and the containment ensured this did not happen.
“This incident should not distract from what was a hugely successful day for Cardiff with the overwhelming majority of people enjoying themselves and behaving responsibly.”
