Welsh Music Foundation presents essential advice to individuals and companies in Wales on the world’s leading new music showcase.
Welsh Music Foundation’s (WMF) next meeting is a must for anyone involved in the music industry in Wales, who are looking to undertake activity at South by South West 2010 (SXSW) one of the world’s most renowned music trade fairs. As well as the SXSW lowdown, those interested are invited to come along and discuss any issues they feel are important to the music industry, find out more about opportunities and events coming up for the music sector and it’s also an important chance to network with other music industry businesses.
One in a series of quarterly meetings WMF hosts across Wales, the forthcoming Cardiff meeting brings together specialist expertise from Una Johnson, SXSW Manager for UK and Ireland and Phil Patterson, International Business Specialist for Music at UK Trade and Investment (UKTI). The SXSW briefing will provide opportunities for attendees to learn more about the business and festival elements of SXSW, answering vital questions such as who SXSW is suitable for, how to apply, travel arrangements; organising time when there and the availability/eligibility of financial assistance towards any SXSW activity.
WMF will also be on hand to provide details about its industry-focused projects and discuss important industry developments, along with details of specialist up and coming events.
Y Fuwch Goch, Womanby Street, Cardiff will be the setting for the not-to-be missed event on Monday 21st September 2009 from 5pm-7pm. To attend, please email [email protected]
