As the 2014 Eisteddfod opens its gates to visitors in Llanelli, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Culture and Heritage Suzy Davies AM, said:
“The Eisteddfod is a major event in the Welsh calendar and a hugely important part of Welsh culture.
“It continues to successfully showcase the very best of Wales and I look forward to attending this year’s festival.
“The Eisteddfod is a celebration for all of us – and I hope it continues to attract increasing numbers of learners and non-Welsh speakers.
“The event will be a huge boost for Llanelli and I welcome efforts to include the town centre and its surrounding areas – and engage all local communities.”
