Recycling organisation, Prosiect Gwyrdd (Green Project), a partnership between five local authorities – Monmouthshire, Newport, Caerphilly, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan – is to hold roadshows at Caldicot and Llanwern to discuss long term environmental, sustainable and cost-effective solutions for waste that can not be viably recycled or composted. Prosiect Gwyrdd has recently invited two firms, Viridor and Veolia, to submit a final tender for its waste contract.
Caldicot’s roadshow takes place at the town’s leisure centre on Saturday, 28th January between 10am and 2pm while Llanwern Village Hall plays host on the previous Saturday, (January 21st), again from 10am to 2pm.
