The Community Furniture Shop run by Wastesavers in Newport now offers an ethical house clearance service to residents. Clearing a property following a bereavement or through relocation can be an upsetting and stressful time.
Possessions gathered over many years being discarded and possibly ending up in landfill will add to the feeling of loss and anxiety.
The new ethical service offers a different type of house clearance. They will collect surplus items and ensure that as many items as possible will be reused or recycled.
Wastesavers do this in the following ways:

- Passing certain items on to local organisations to be recycled
