Conwy County Borough Council is inviting local people to think of a name for the new Watersport Centre in Colwyn Bay.
Work starts in the new year on the new Watersports Centre and surrounding landscaping on Colwyn promenade
This exciting new seafront development needs a name and Conwy County Borough Council is asking the public for suggestions.
Local residents, businesses, visitors and organisations are all invited to take part and should submit suggestions by 3rd January 2012, either via the website at www.conwy.gov.uk/colwynbaywaterfront or by visiting the Waterfront Team at this year’s Cambrian Christmas Market in Colwyn Bay.
Cllr Mike Priestley, Cabinet Member for Environment said, “I’m sure someone will come up with a name that will perfectly capture the location, I’m looking forward to seeing people’s suggestions.”
The Waterfront Team will be at the Cambrian Christmas Market, Sea View Road (outside the Bayview Shopping Centre), Colwyn Bay from Thursday 8 December 2011 until Saturday 10 December 2011.
A shortlist of the best suggestions will put to the Project Board, who will make the final decision.
