‘The Challenge’ sets out a number of recommendations for the Welsh economy, highlighting issues including corporation tax, business rates, small business support, working with the private sector, public procurement, entrepreneurship and high speed broadband.
Leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the Assembly, Nick Bourne AM, said: “This report has looked in detail at the many challenges currently facing the Welsh economy.
“The Commission has developed a series of recommendations aimed at supporting a recovery. These will now be closely considered by the Welsh Conservatives.”
Shadow Minister for the Economy, Darren Millar AM, said: “Prosperity levels in Wales are currently the lowest in all of the UK nations and regions.
“Labour-Plaid is failing to make the decisions that can get us out of the rut our country is stuck in.
“There should be no doubt that we need a fresh approach to the economy and the recommendations put forward within this report will now be studied and evaluated.”
