Deeside Leisure Centre is hosting this year’s Welsh IJS skating championships between Tuesday 19 and Friday 22 October.
Competitions over the four days include Senior Ladies’, Men’s and Junior events, and Synchro & Dance. There will also be Novice competitions.
Among the competitors will be Deeside’s own: Louise Walden and Owen Edwards (Bronze Medallists in the 2009 Senior British Championships); British junior ice dance champions, Josh Whidborne and Charlotte Aiken; and Katie Powell, who will be competing in the Senior Ladies competition.
The event will mean a change to the opening times of the rink.
The IJS Championships are scheduled at the following times:
- Tue 19 October: 1.00pm – 6.00pm
- Wed 20 October: 9.00am – 7.00pm
- Thu 21 October: 9.00am – 7.00pm
- Fri 22 October: 9.00am – 1.30pm
