The Welsh Liberal Democrats have launched a survey to engage with businesses to establish their experiences and opinions of apprenticeships.
As part of their campaign to raise awareness of apprenticeships, the Welsh Liberal Democrats also recently published a report, ‘Widening Access to Apprenticeships’, that looked at practical ways to encourage young people to take up apprenticeships.
Eluned Parrott, Welsh Liberal Democrat Business and Enterprise spokesperson, said:
“We believe that engaging with businesses is essential to ascertain what they need from their future workforce and ensure that young people have the skills they need to develop successful careers.
“Apprenticeships are valuable opportunities for young people to develop the workplace skills that they need to boost their careers and build their lives. However this is not just a one way relationship, and businesses can benefit hugely from taking on apprentices as well.
“We want to find out more about the experience Welsh businesses have of apprenticeships, and their views on ways that schemes can be improved upon. No matter what the size and sector, I urge as many businesses as possible to take part in this survey.”
The survey is open until the 13 December 2013 and can be found here:
