International squad manager Gary Speed will be among other sporting stars from the world of Welsh football, rugby and netball as special guests at the Tŷ Hafan Sporting Lunch, being held at the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday 5 May, lending their support to well known Welsh businesses who have arranged the event on behalf of the family hospice for young lives.
Cardiff City Football Club has been associated with Tŷ Hafan for the past three years, and will be providing the stunning venue for the occasion in the new stadium which opened in 2009.
Jay Bothroyd, along with the rest of the City squad has been a regular visitor to the hospice delighting their many fans among the teenage lads and their dads who spend time there.
Welsh companies such as Freshbaked, Thomas, Carroll and Cardiff Airport along with national names in the area like Barclays Corporate, Zurich, and TNT Post have formed a special corporate support group which encourages fundraising amongst their employees as well as organising events such as the Lunch.
“Everyone here at Thomas, Carroll recognises the importance of supporting a charity like Ty Hafan” commented Paul Gardner, Group Sales and Marketing Director. “The hospice provides essential services to life-limited children, young people and their families from across Wales, and all my colleagues are happy to do everything they can to ensure this continues”
