Gwynedd Council is supporting a joint project which arranges an annual programme of guided countryside walks for the less abled and wheelchair users – again this year the walks will visit some of Wales’ most fantastic locations.
The next walk will be on Friday, 18 June along the historic tree lined avenue of Y Lôn Goed near Chwilog. Contact Gwynedd Council for further information on where to meet and to book your place on the walk.
Gwynedd Council Countryside Warden, Haydn Hughes said:
“For those of you who previously showed an interest in the boat trip around Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) to view the wildlife, we are please to announce that we’ll be laying on further trips this summer, with a new fully wheelchair accessible boat now available from Pwllheli.
“Dates have not been set, so please book as soon as possible as its first come first serve! Also, anyone who wishes to attend the visit to Lôn Goed should also get in contact to keep their place.”
The remaining walks for the 2010 season include:
3 July – Morfa Madryn Reserve, Conwy
17 July – Morfa Mawddach, Dolgellau
1 August – RSPB Conwy
25 August – Ynys Llanddwyn, Anglesey
