Former world number three wheelchair tennis player, Roy Humphreys will be part of a unique coaching clinic session at the Arfon Tennis Centre, Caernarfon on Monday, 21 June.
The aim of the event will be to raise awareness of the wheelchair tennis opportunities available in the area. The taster session on Monday is free and will be held from 5pm to 7pm.
Marcus Politis, Gwynedd Council’s Disability Sport Cymru Development Officer said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the top wheelchair tennis players, and we hope to see a number of people coming along to the taster session.
“As a Council, we aim to offer a wide variety of different sporting activities for people with disabilities, and this event will be a great chance for us to showcase what Gwynedd has to offer.”
The wheelchair tennis coaching clinic will include a short exhibition match, along with practical skills exercises as well as an opportunity to get on the court. Sport wheelchairs will be available for use free of charge.
