Jenny Willott, the Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central and Co-Chair of the Party’s Committee on Work and Pensions, has today welcomed the number of independent, local providers and charities who have been asked to bid to provide the Government’s work programme in Wales.
The Government today announced the list of organisations that will be offered the chance to deliver the new work programme which seeks to get people back into work. Here in Wales there are a number of independent providers and charities with strong local links.

“I am really pleased that groups such as BTCV, Rehab Group and the Shaw Trust have been offered the opportunity to deliver this radical new programme in Wales.
“These organisations have a strong history of helping the hardest to reach people make progress and find work.
“I hope that we have a diverse group of organisations working in Wales to give people the best possible chance and support to get back into work.
