For the second year in a row, tennis clubs throughout Wales are offering free sessions for women and girls during Wimbledon fortnight.
A total of 28 clubs are offering the sessions, as part of Sport Wales’ What Moves You campaign to encourage women and girls to become more active.
The clubs are also offering membership discounts and coaching sessions after the event, to allow participants to further develop their skills.
A number of free sessions are being held at:

- Bridgend LTC (26th June & 2nd July)
- Buckley Leisure Centre (28th June & 5th July)
- Cowbridge Tennis Club (25th June & 2nd July)
- David Lloyd Cardiff (24th June, 5th & 6th July)
- Diamond Tennis Academy (25th & 27th June, 2nd & 4th July)
- Dinas Powys Tennis Club (23rd, 24th, 25th & 28th June)
- Holywell Leisure Centre (28th June & 5th July)
- Llanelli Tennis Club (25th & 26th June)
- Mackintosh Tennis Club (23rd, 27th, 30th June & 4th July)
- Magor Undy Tennis Club (28th June)
- Mold Tennis Club (23rd & 30th June)
- Newtown Tennis Club (5th July)
- Penarth LTC (26th June & 3rd July)
- Penarth Windsor LTC (28th June & 2nd July)

“We’re delighted to have doubled the number of clubs participating this year”, said Ellie Lewis, National Workforce Manager for Tennis Wales. “In addition to free tennis sessions there are other activities to get involved in, including cardio, tennis Xpress and touchtennis. This should allow females to try out the different variations on offer and see which ones hooks them in”.
