Denbighshire County Council is informing residents that work has already begun on constructing four new wind turbines at Wern Ddu near Corwen.
The turbines are being constructed following the granting of planning permission by the Planning Inspectorate in June 2007. This decision was the outcome of a public inquiry, as Denbighshire County Council had previously refused permission for the turbines.
The approved turbines will be 90 metres high, and are being erected on Mynydd Rhydd Ddu to the north west of Gwyddelwern village.
The development is one of a number of schemes proposed in the County which are in support of the Welsh Assembly’s policies and targets on renewable energy production.
