A Port Talbot woman is facing a bill of £1150 with £200 costs and a £15 victim surcharge after breaching noise nuisance laws on 3 seperate occasions.
Mrs Tina Hearn of Southville Road, Port Talbot, who did not appear in court, was charged by Magistrates for causing a statutory noise nuisance by playing loud music.
The court heard how she was found to be in breach of a noise abatement notice when officers from the Council’s Environmental health team heard loud music coming from her property on 3 separate occasions this Autumn.
Head of Pubic Protection, Robert Rees, said,, “Residents have the right to live peacefully in their homes.
He added, “We will not hesitate to take action against those people who break the law, and act in an anti social manner.”
