Local Take That fans who missed out on tickets for the band’s 25th anniversary tour will be able to see them perform live without having to leave North Wales.
Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald will be performing at the O2 arena in London on Friday (June 19).
Although the show is sold out, it will be beamed live into the Odeon Cinema at the Eagles Meadow shopping centre in Wrexham.
Demand is so great from fans of the chart-topping band that the Odeon has had to put on a second screen for the landmark pop event.
Odeon manager Kenny Kempster said: “Take That is famous for their spectacular shows and we’re thrilled to be offering fans that didn’t have the chance to get tickets or simply want to re-live the night, the opportunity to experience the concert at our cinemas.
“With the number of cameras and access that the production crew have been given, fans are really going to feel like they’re on the stage with the boys.
“Take That is defined by some of the most memorable and spectacular live productions in UK music history and this show is certainly no exception.
“It’s a wonderful explosion of colour, featuring everything from dancing jellyfish, beautifully choreographed puppetry and a contemporary dance routine performed by Mark and Howard to a flying tandem sidecar that soars out over the crowd, a burning globe, pyros, fireworks and indoor rain.”
This year’s European tour is their first since Progress in 2011.
While the audience will not see the band members in the flesh, the performance will be captured in high definition and will use surround sound to make fans feel like they have access to the live show.
Gary Barlow said: “This is the first time we’ve done something on this scale so it’s going to be a really special night for us.
“It’ll be a really exciting to have so many of our fans from all over the world all together watching the show.
“We’ll be thinking up some surprises to make it a very memorable occasion for everyone.”
