Young boy’s head injury tended to by Port Eynon RNLI lifeguards

Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeguards treated a four-year-old boy after he had fallen off a highchair and banged his head at Port Eynon on Sunday afternoon (8 August).

The boy, whose family was from Yorkshire and on holiday at Port Eynon, was at first treated as a suspected spinal injury and put on a spinal board by RNLI lifeguards and taken to the lifeguard unit on the beach.

Initially, the boy was quite dazed but he came round after a while. He was then taken by land ambulance to Morriston Hospital, accompanied by his grandmother.
