Cardiff Blues take on the Ospreys tomorrow, at the Cardiff City Stadium, 6.30pm kick off.
David Young knows the Blues must be at their best if they are to overcome the star studded Welsh side in the second Welsh derby match of the season.
Speaking at the Vale of Glamorgan Training centre Young said,
“We have to take the Heineken Cup intensity into the Magners League. I’ve definitely seen a difference in our attitude and accuracy going into these matches and we must carry this forward.”
The Blues hope to pick up some points in the Magners League following a slow start and there would be no better time to do this than against their Welsh rivals from Swansea. Speaking of the opposition Young noted,
“We know how good the Ospreys are. Scott Johnson has come in and helped Sean and Jonathan take them to another level.”
“They look very dangerous off set piece and certainly have the quality to cause any team a lot of problems. From my point of view, I really think the Ospreys are a team that can go on to win the Heineken Cup this year.”
“They’ve got the physicality, the flair, the pace and the guile to put any team to the sword. So we know the threats that are coming our way and know we are going to have to be at our best to get the right result.”
