Year 12 Pupils from Ysgol Bro Gwaun in Fishguard are pictured with Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff Bay.
The pupils spent a day in Cardiff as part of their political awareness module for the Welsh Baccalaureate in Wales, Europe and the World.
Mr Davies had already visited the youngsters at school to talk to them about his role as an Assembly Member and the work of the Welsh Assembly.
“I enjoyed the time I spent at the school and faced some lively questions from the pupils on a wide variety of topics,” said Mr Davies.
Welsh Baccalaureate co-ordinator Elizabeth Hooper said: “Paul had already visited us at school so it was good to see him in a different context. “The pupils held a mock debate in the old chamber on whether to ban plastic bags and used the old voting system, then they had a tour of the new part of the building. They were quite overwhelmed by it, it’s extraordinary.”
