Police in Ystrad Mynach have uncovered a cannabis factory after executing a drugs warrant at an address on Church Street, Ystrad Mynach.
The Ystrad Mynach Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out the warrant at approximately 10am yesterday (Wednesday 17th February).
They uncovered 330 plants at various stages of growth and hydroponics equipment in two rooms at the property.
Ystrad Mynach ward officer, PC Louise Anzani, said: “We have uncovered a number of cannabis plants during the warrant today, which is a pleasing as it stops these drugs from being sold on our streets.
“I would like to thank local residents for their help and information, which is so important in helping to disrupt the cultivation of cannabis.”
Ystrad Mynach PCSO Gareth Coombes, said: “We take all information regarding the possible cultivation or supply of drugs seriously. If anyone notices anything suspicious in their area, then please get in contact with us.”
