Taking place on the weekend of 16th and 17th May, the Slateman Triathlon is an iconic triathlon set in the heart of Snowdonia. Now a permanent fixture in the calendar of triathlon fans everywhere, the race is infamous for its stunning open-water swim in Llyn Padarn, breathtaking cycle up the Llanberis pass and lung busting run up the ‘zig-zags’  in the Dinorwig Slate Quarries. Both the physical challenge and the scenery is unparalleled making the Snowdonia Slateman one of the best triathlon events in the UK.

Always Aim High Events will once again be putting on an array of live music, displays, attractions and other entertainment the whole family can enjoy, giving a continental feel to the triathlon that is very unique among UK races.

The Slateman has been a sellout event for two years running, and 2015 is expected to be no different. The entry limit for the Slateman Full is 1500 and the Slateman Sprint maxes out at 600. Based on the success of the 2014 event, the Slateman’s reputation as one of the best tris in the country plus it’s ever growing popularity the 2015 edition is expected to sell out very quickly. So if you want to enter this epic triathlon you are recommended to get your entry in early.

Always Aim High Events Director, Tim Lloyd, is very excited about 2015 Slateman Triathlon:

“The 2014 Slateman was huge for us. The Slateman Full sold out 4 months before the event and that was with record numbers as well.  The 2015 event is going to be even bigger. We are expecting a total of 2,100 athletes to be taking part in one of the Slateman races across the weekend, making the Slateman one of the largest triathlons in the whole of the UK.  We are especially excited about the new Savage event and we think that there are plenty of rock hard folk out there who will love the full weekend of racing.”

“Most of all we are sincerely grateful to all of our event partners and for the support we receive from the local communities, without whom this tremendous celebration of triathlon would not be possible”

Online entries are available now on the Slateman Triathlon website, organisers are urging those interested to enter early to avoid disappointment.
