Library is first stop for business and Europe information

Wrexham Library has just undergone a £310,000 facelift thanks to a grant from the Welsh Assembly Government, and Businessline and Europe Direct are still providing free business advice in new-look surroundings.

Other services provided by Europe Direct include freephone access to the Europe Direct call centre and supplying classroom materials on Europe to teachers.

Europe Direct has held numerous events since it opened in 2006. In autumn 2008, the service celebrated the ‘European Day of Languages’ by involving 268 local pupils in workshops to encourage them to learn languages in a fun and interesting way.

The service also held an event on Queen’s Square to celebrate Wrexham’s twinning with Raciborz in Poland and Markischer Kreis, Germany – a similar event later this year will celebrate Wrexham Twinning Week.
