The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) is hosting a free workshop on the ICAEW Pathways to Membership programme in Cardiff on Thursday, 8 April, from 9.30am-11.30am.
The workshop will give ACCA, CIMA and CIPFA qualified accountants in Cardiff the opportunity to find out how, with five years’ post qualified experience they could be eligible to add the ACA to their existing qualifications and become members of the ICAEW.
Previous results show that applicants who have attended a workshop increased their chances of success by over 30%.
As well as becoming eligible to access the vast range of support and specialist services offered to ICAEW members, successful applicants will, in becoming an ACA, be gaining a qualification which opens the door to a wide range of opportunities. Over 80% of the FTSE 100 boards include an ACA.
Pathways also offers a solution to succession planning issues by enabling ICAEW member firms to avoid losing their chartered status by not having enough ACA-qualified partners.
The free workshop, organised by David Lermon, Wales director of the ICAEW, takes place at the Regus centre in Cardiff Bay and participants and will provide prospective Pathways participants with guidance on completing their application.
