Clwydian Range’s stunning scenery to appear on weatherman TV show

Television viewers will have another chance to see the stunning scenery of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty when the region features in a repeat of the BBC Wales’ Weatherman Walking programme, being broadcast on Tuesday, April 13.

Presenter Derek Brockway will be joined by Denbighshire County Council’s Erin Robinson, a project officer with the Heather and Hillforts scheme. Erin will be taking Derek on a 4.5 mile walk, starting at Bwlch Pen Barras, taking in Moel Fenlli and across heather moorlands to the Jubilee Tower on top of Moel Famau, the highest peak in the Clwydian Range. The walk will end back at Bwlch Pen Barras above Ruthin.

During the journey, Erin will be explaining about the history of the numerous hillforts dotted around the Clwydian Range and will be discussing the work going on to protect the heather moorlands and Iron Age hillforts for future generations.

The programme will be broadcast on BBC 1 Wales at 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 13.
