Commenting on today’s rise in unemployment in Wales, Shadow Minister for the Economy David Melding AM said:
“We realise that by far the most devastating aspect of the recession is unemployment and the impact it has on the lives of individuals and their families.
“Reducing unemployment will be one of the major tasks facing the new Conservative-led government at Westminster, in co-operation with the Labour-Plaid administration in Cardiff.
“We will do all we can to help the Assembly Government pursue the policies which see Wales become a thriving enterprise nation.”
