Feeling a Moment with chart toppers Feeder at this year’s Adrimal Cardiff Big Weekend

Music lovers are in for a treat this summer when home grown and top international artists play the Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend free live music stage.

Headlining the event, which takes place from Friday 30 July to Sunday 1 August, are Welsh chart toppers Feeder. The band will perform material from their new album Renegades, including their new single ‘Call Out’.

Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend takes place in the heart of the city at the civic centre and features three packed days of free music and top entertainment. Along with headliners Feeder, other acts performing at this year’s Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend include –

On Friday, July 30, in conjunction with the Swn Festival, the cream of the latest crop of Welsh bands form an incredible line-up including headliners The Blackout.

Cardiff festival favourite Chaka Demus and Pliers makes a welcome return to Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend on Saturday 31 July to headline an international line-up including Pee Wee Ellis and the Funky Assembly , The Raghu Dixit Project and The Congo All-Stars.

On Sunday 1 August, visitors can rock out with South Wales legends Feeder, who will bring the weekend to a magnificent close and if that wasn’t enough, Ivor Novello award winning British indie-rock band, Athlete will take to the stage, along with Fenech Soler and many more.

A firework finale, will light the city sky each night of the Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend and you can also enjoy all the fun of the fair, with traditional fairground attractions available to entertain the young and the young at heart.

Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Nigel Howells, said: “There is plenty of music on offer at this year’s Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend, and it’s great to see established artists playing alongside up and coming acts. The three days are jam packed with top entertainment; fingers crossed the sun will be shining on what is set to be a great event for all to enjoy.”

Feeder, said: “We are thrilled to be coming back to Wales. Our new album ‘Renegades’ is out in July so we’re looking forward to playing some new tracks. Our shows in Cardiff are always a blast!’

Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend is one of the many events that make up Cardiff Festival.
