Commenting on proposals to create a new fast-track system for making decisions on major infrastructure projects, Shadow Environment Minister Angela Burns AM said:
“I very much welcome this announcement by the UK Government.
“It will sweep away unaccountable decision making and replace it with a democratic, accountable process.
“This will be welcomed by communities across Wales faced with the prospect of major projects on their doorsteps.
“I am pleased Welsh interests will be represented under the new system.
“This will have a key role to play in supporting the Welsh economy as we attempt to stimulate growth over the coming months and years.”
