Liberal Democrats in Montgomeryshire will soon be packing their bags to head off to the Welsh party’s autumn conference in Wrexham between the 16th and 18th of October. Highlights will include a speech from the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, Kirsty Williams AM.
Those attending from Montgomeryshire include Lembit Öpik MP, Mick Bates AM and a team of local delegates.
“Local members are really looking forward to going to the conference,” said Lembit Öpik. “There are some great debates coming up and the chance to refresh our campaigning on local issues. This will all make for an interesting conference.”
There will be debates on topics including the economy, transport and the environment. Mick Bates AM will be chairing a debate on renewable energy.

“With the economic recession continuing and the ever-present threat of climate change, Welsh Liberal Democrats will be debating key motions on a new, green economy in Wales and I look forward to hearing the views of our members on these important issues.”
