Angle RNLI lifeboat tows yacht to safety

A 34 foot yacht, which hit engine problems five miles off Linney Head on the South Pembrokeshire coast on Sunday afternoon (8 August), was towed to safety by Angle’s RNLI all-weather lifeboat.

The yacht, with two persons on board, was on passage from Lymington in Hampshire to the upper reaches of the Milford Haven Waterway.

The Tamar class lifeboat, Mark Mason, commanded by RNLI Coxswain Lee Firman, towed the casualty to Milford.

With Coxswain Firman on the call-out were Second Coxswain Danny Richards, Richard Bowles as Mechanic, Adam Seaton, Luke Richards, Mike Young and Nigel Berry.
